My love of languages started in Secondary School, which led me to study languages at A-Level and then at degree level at The University of Bath. In my year abroad I went to live and work as a French Assistant in school in Aix-en-Provence in the South of France. My experience of living abroad was transformative and enabled me to learn, first-hand, about the French way of life and become immersed in the culture. 

Upon my return to the UK, I trained as a French and Italian teacher, and have now been a teacher for more than ten years. Throughout my ten plus years working in Secondary schools in the UK, I have developed a wealth of knowledge of both the French curriculum and teaching methodology and learning strategies. I also developed my leadership skills working as Head of Department for Languages.

In 2021, I decided to take the leap and go freelance. I now offer a range of online 1:1 and group lessons as well as independent study French courses from my website. Each lesson, unit and module is been carefully crafted and sequenced to address the course learning objectives and help you improve your French.
